Vegan Cilantro Crema

Sometimes, you just need an easy, quick recipe that can be used in multiple ways. If you love creamy, garlicky, spicy goodness, then you will love this cilantro crema, made only with 6 ingredients. It's vegan, inexpensive and delicious.

Use it as a dip, as a salad dressing, as a sauce or as a filling in your favorite vegan dishes.

I make this crema often because we use it on everything. My boyfriend uses it on sandwiches, and I like to use it as a dip for vegetable crudités and on top of tacos.

The crema is made from silken tofu. Trust me, you will not know that it's tofu once blended with the garlic, jalapenos, and cilantro. You can adjust the spice and garlic as you like to customize the recipe, but below are the basic ingredients.

1 package of silken tofu

4 cloves of garlic

Juice of 1 lime

2-4 jalapeno peppers, seeds removed

1 large bunch of cilantro

Salt & pepper to taste

Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender or food processor and blend until desired consistency. You can add a small amount of water If you want a thinner sauce. If you make this, please let me know if you enjoyed it.
