You can change the future of your health. By making small lifestyle changes now, you can stave off illness, obesity, and early death. When I think about the future, I think about joining friends for an evening out, going to a yoga class on the beach, enjoying Sunday brunch while listening to the sounds of the waves lapping the shore. I think about exploring new countries and participating in active adventures, like wine tasting in France via bicycle, hiking in Peru and snorkeling in Australia. I already lead an active and healthy lifestyle, so my main goal is to be consistent with my nutrition and exercise program so I have the vitality and strength to live life on my terms.
Lack of movement, poor diet, and bad lifestyle choices will impact the life you have left. Do you want to spend that time going to doctors, taking multiple medications, being in and out of hospitals, and being dependent on other family members for your care? Illnesses like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain types of cancer are preventable. So, will you do everything in your power to live the life of your dreams or will you succumb to illness and muscle atrophy?
The choice is yours. Remember, it's never too late to change.
